Privacy Policy

DailyChess · Last updated June 12, 2026

DailyChess is built to need nothing from you. It runs entirely on your device, has no user accounts, and contacts no server we operate. This policy explains what that means in practice.

1. Data we collect

None. DailyChess does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. We have no servers, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party trackers.

2. Data stored on your device

Your progress - solved puzzles, your puzzle rating, streak, per-theme accuracy, and app settings - is stored only on your device (and synced across your own devices by Apple's iCloud key-value storage if enabled in your system settings). We cannot see it. Deleting the app removes it.

3. The puzzle database

All chess puzzles ship inside the app as a local file. Solving puzzles requires no network connection and sends no data anywhere.

4. Purchases

Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store your payment information. Apple's handling of that transaction is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

5. Notifications

If you opt in to a daily reminder, it is scheduled locally on your device by iOS. No reminder data leaves your device.

6. Children's privacy

DailyChess collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.

7. Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
